Brace yourself to see a lot of yellow in the city of Dallas come Feb. 6, as the most likely scenario pins the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.

Although both teams are favored to win their respective conference championships this weekend, this prediction is also based off of what both teams have shown throughout the 2010 regular season.

The Green Bay Packers, the wild card team out of the NFC North with a 10-6 record, certainly have the momentum to defeat the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship game.

The Packers and Bears split the regular season series at 1-1, but it is what Green Bay and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have done this postseason that will likely book them a trip to Dallas.

Rodgers has certainly made Packer fans forget about former quarterback Brett Favre during the playoffs, throwing for a total of 546 yards, with seven touchdowns, and most importantly, throwing no interceptions. Green Bay has also had the company of a good ground attack this postseason, as rookie running back James Starks has rushed for a total of 189 yards in just two playoff games.

What has made the Packers road to the Super Bowl even more worth noting, is their 2-0 playoff record this season, where both games they have won has been on the road.

It should also be noted that Green Bay finished the regular season giving up the fewest amount of points allowed to opponents in the NFC. The Packers 240 points given up was second in all of the NFL in that category, right behind what looks to be the favored AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers won the AFC North with a record of 12-4, winning six of their last seven games to close out the regular season. Like Green Bay, Pittsburgh is also favored against their conference championship game against the New York Jets.

Pittsburgh did play the Jets back in Week 15, when New York defeated the Steelers at Heinz Field, 22-17. Will the Steel Curtain stop the Jets this time around?

One would suspect many football fans think so, as this prediction lies in the hands of two key Steeler players that have carried Pittsburgh the entire season: Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Mike Wallace.

The Roethlisberger to Wallace combo has hooked up for 10 touchdowns during the regular season, with Wallace going over 1,200 receiving yards in just his second year in the league.

Against New York, Wallace had seven receptions for 102 receiving yards. Look for the two to once again become the staple offensive attack in the AFC Championship game against the Jets on Sunday.

Cheese hats and Terrible Towels. What a combo that would be for Super Bowl XLV.
