Fantasy Football Rankings Week 6: Rob Gronkowski and More TEs Primed for Big Days

The stars appear to be aligned this weekend for an explosion of fantasy scoring from the TE position. These three tight ends are in the best position to put up huge numbers in Week 6:

Rob Gronkowski, New England

Gronkowski has established himself as one of the league’s best deep threats at the TE position. He’s a good choice pretty much every week, but with Dallas’ vulnerable safeties he could be even better than usual.

The Cowboys have also done a good job containing opposing runners, making the always pass-happy New England attack even more one-dimensional than usual.

Jermichael Finley, Green Bay

The Rams’ secondary is very short on legitimate (and uninjured) NFL talent, making any St. Louis opponent a potential point explosion. For Aaron Rodgers and mighty Green Bay, that goes double.

Finley, always a first-class red-zone option, could clean up even more than usual in what should be a romp for the Pack. The only real danger is that if the Rams allow big-play TDs to the wide receivers early, Rodgers and the passing game might get shut down before Finley gets his chance to shine.

Jimmy Graham, New Orleans

Drew Brees can generally be counted on to put up big fantasy numbers, but predicting which of his receivers will benefit is rarely an easy task. This week, however, a meeting with the Buccaneers could be good news for Graham in particular.

Tampa Bay has averaged one TD per week surrendered to opposing tight ends. If that track record continues, Graham’s numbers will spike accordingly.
