2011 Preakness Stakes: Stars Aligned for Astrology to Shine Through Preakness?
2011 Preakness Stakes Looks At Astrology Coming Out of the No.1 Post Position
The Preakness is very much Animal Kingdom's to lose at this point, but Mucho Macho Man and Dialed in are both going to give him a fight for the race at Pimlico today.
With only two hours left until post time, the race draws near and nearly every other horse has a good story as well.
Looking at a Astrology, a very intriguing name for May 21, he opened the day as a 15-1 shot to win the race.
He has never failed to make it on the board, but also cannot find a win.
Special to ESPN from Claire Novak explains:
Key to this race will be how well he handles the crowds and pre-race hoopla; he's known to be a little antsy before the start. Comes off a runner-up finish in the April 23 Jerome at Aqueduct, trainer has won this race twice in the past four years. If he stays settled, look for him to be close to the front, but not leading the race.
Two keys here are his trainer and his nerves.
Astrology could harness the excitement and turn it into an incredible performance, or he could bottom out.
If he focuses in and lets his training/jockey work, he could be in it when they come to the line.
