NBA Playoffs 2011: Which NBA Star Will Shine Brightest This Weekend?

NBA Playoffs 2011, Who Will Shine Brightest Between LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Derrick Rose, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook?

With each conference series tied at one a piece, the four remaining teams are only three wins away from the NBA Finals.  Up next is the pivotal game three.  You know the stars will come out for this one.

Here are the stat-lines for the players mentioned above just to see how they've been performing so far this post-season:

LeBron James: 25.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.3 blocks, 2.8 turnovers

Dwyane Wade: 25.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.2 blocks, 2.8 turnovers

Chris Bosh: 16.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.1 assist, 0.8 steals, 0.9 blocks, 1.8 turnovers

Derrick Rose: 28.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.8 blocks, 3.5 turnovers

Dirk Nowitzki: 28.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.8 blocks, 2.7 turnovers

Kevin Durant: 29.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 steals, 1.1 blocks, 2.1 turnovers

Russell Westbrook: 23.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.4 blocks, 4.4 turnovers

Just by looking at stats, I think we can eliminate Chris Bosh and Russell Westbrook from the discussion.  That leaves LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose, Dirk, and Kevin Durant.

If the trend continues, LeBron will continue to take the big shots for Miami and he will continue to make them so his teammate Dwyane Wade will be eliminated from the list.

Watching the Dallas-Oklahoma City series, Dirk Nowitzki looks inhuman while Kevin Durant just looks like a really good human.  Dirk can't be stopped, so he gets the edge and Durant is eliminated.

LeBron vs. Derrick Rose won't come down to a match-up between the two players, but Chicago's defense as a whole vs. LeBron which I believe Chicago's defense will succeed.  They've proved their dominance and held Miami under 90 points more times than not this season.

That eliminates the former MVP and leaves the current one vs. another past MVP in Nowitzki.

So far in the playoffs, Derrick Rose has shown his weakness.  He's unstoppable at getting to the bucket, but he can be stopped once he gets there.

Dirk on the other hand has not shown a weakness.  He can get his shot off against any defender at any time.  This year, on this weekend, expect Dirk Nowitzki to shine brighter than his fellow NBA stars.
