Michigan Football: More Starters Are Revealed as Opening Game Approches

As posted in the other slide here head coach Brady Hoke revealed some of the Wolverines starters. More were released today.

Linebacker Mike Jones will be joining Cam Gordan and junior Kenny Demens as the starters.

Cornerbacks J.T. Floyd and Courtney Avery continue to battle for the starting spot opposite Troy Woolfolk. Although it looks like Floyd will probably get the job based off of his experience.

The kicking duties consist of sophomore Brendan Gibbons doing extra points and as the primary field-goal kicker, and freshman Matt Wile on long field goals (over 43 or 44 yards), kickoffs and punts.

Any other spots that remain vacant should be filled soon as Brady Hoke still sees room for improvement.

“We’re excited. We’re not near ready to play, and I’ll probably say that on Friday ... but we get to play, and that’s a good thing,” Hoke said. “We get that first test, to see where we’re at as a team and as a program.”

Hopefully that first test shows they made huge improvements from last year.
