We are officially 25 minutes into the contest here at RFK Stadium, and so far, the Los Angeles Galaxy currently have the advantage over D.C. United 1-0 after a Mike Magee goal, scored in the 12th minute of play. LA’s backline of Leonardo, Todd Dunivant, Omar Gonzalez and A.J. DeLaGarza have been given the task of disrupting the D.C. attack. They have been doing their part with skill and precision.
A chance for Chris Pontius on the breakaway went south in the 20th minute.
While disruption of D.C.’s sequences looks better for LA, they must generate more chances to score rather that sit on a one-goal lead. It’s still early, but Los Angeles must create more chances to score. Juninho had a chance to add to it in the 24th minute. More chances to score comes from better shot selection as well.
