Fantasy Football Sleepers: 5 Late-Round Steals Who Will Make You Draft Guru

Having one of your late-round Fantasy Football draft picks turn into a fantasy stud is one of the most satisfying feelings. You can rub it in your friends’ faces and make yourself look like a fantasy genius.

For instance, if you were one of the fortunate ones to take Arian Foster in the mid-to-late rounds like myself, you were almost guaranteed to make the playoffs.

You also got to tell everyone why you thought he was going to be great because of Ben Tate’s injury, being the second leading rusher in Tennessee history, or any other reason you could concoct. Bottom line, it makes you look smart.

These are some guys this season that I think have a chance to pull an Arian Foster.

No. 5 Daniel Thomas

Thomas is the Miami Dolphins second round draft pick and should get plenty of touches after the team lost Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. They added Reggie Bush but he is a situational player who cannot handle a full workload out of the backfield

No. 4 Mark Sanchez

The Sanchize could end up being your fantasy football franchise player. He most likely won’t even get drafted in many leagues but has the potential to be a great QB this year. It is his third season in the league, one where many QBs bust out, and he has a number of red-zone threats in his receiving corps.

No. 3 James Jones

Jones is primed to become the No. 2 receiver in the prolific Green Bay passing game. If Donald Driver drops off, Jones will get a lot of balls thrown his way, especially in the red-zone.

No. 2 C.J Spiller

A late-round pick who is going to get a lot of touches now that Marshawn Lynch is gone. Fred Jackson will still be the feature back, but Spiller could have a Jamaal Charles type season this year.

No. 1 Jahvid Best

Best has been shooting up draft boards recently due to Mikel Leshoure’s injury. A mid-round pick now, Best is going to be the feature back in a great Lions’ offense. He could be one of the top rushers in the league.
