ESPN Book: Excerpt Details Keith Olbermann’s Tenure, Will You Read This Expose?

ESPN Book Comes Out Shortly, but Excerpt Gives Us A Sneak Preview

People have been waiting for an ESPN tell-all book for a long, long time.

In a short amount of time, we'll get just that, as James Andrew Miller and Tom Shales have written Those Guys Have All the Fun, and if an excerpt that was published in the latest GQ is any indication, we're in for one heck of a ride once this hits bookstores.

The bit that we got to read is about Keith Olbermann's tenure with the Worldwide Leader and I'll allow you to read the whole thing, but I'll sum it up by saying that some people loved Olbermann, but most seemed to hate him. He got on people's nerves and was very opinionated behind the scenes, eventually paving the way for his exit.

I cannot wait to pick this book up and give it a read. I watch ESPN all the time and I grew up during the glory days of SportsCenter and all of the famous anchors that we talk about when we look back on the history of the network and I want to hear all of the behind-the-scenes dirt.

As someone who almost exclusively reads books on sports, this book has to be a staple in my collection and if you read the excerpt, you're going to be drawn in as well. This book has the potential to change the way we look at the past and the present of this network.

I'm not shocked by the characterization of Olbermann, in fact, it makes his eventual transition to being a political pundit make even more sense. Hopefully the book is as good as what we've seen so far, because if it is, people won't be able to put it down.
