With another great week of college football, the rankings once again got turned upside down. Here are five teams that should ranked and five teams that should not be.
The Baylor Bears were one of the surprise teams of this year but after losing to the Kansas State Wildcats they shouldn't be ranked. Everybody loves Robert Griffin and he is playing out of his mind. But one person does not make a team and if the Bears can't beat decent competition, they don't belong in the Top 25.
Texas A&M Aggies
I understand the Aggies lost two straight to top competition but if you can't hang, you don't belong in the Top 25. What makes the Aggies case even worse is the fact they were ahead late in both games and blew both leads. As the schedule gets more difficult the Aggies seem to be in even more trouble.
Virginia Tech Hokies
The Hokies didn't look impressive in the first few games, only beating East Carolina by seven points. They then got blown out by Clemson. Virginia Tech was ranked high coming in so they would have had to fall out of the rankings a lot. But the tradition of their program shouldn't keep ranked, if they don't deserve it, they don't deserve it.
Florida State Seminoles
Even though the Seminoles had a bye week, they still don't deserve to be ranked. They lost two straight games. Who cares if it was against Oklahoma and Clemson, it's still two straight losses. If you can't hang, you can't hang.
Michigan State Spartans
Why are the Spartans ranked in the USA Today Coaches Poll? This team got destroyed by Notre Dame and barely beat an overrated Ohio State team last week. I haven't been impressed at all with the Michigan State team and just like the AP Poll they shouldn't be ranked in the Coaches Poll.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The Irish got off to a shaky start but lately have improved and are playing the way they should have from the beginning. With three straight victories, the Irish should sneak their way back into the rankings soon.
I know this team is in the C-USA but they're also 5-0 and have the best passing game in the country. I don't know what it's going to take but this team deserves to be ranked already.
Penn State Nittany Lions
The only loss this team has suffered was against Alabama and they didn't look too bad doing in that effort. They have now won three straight and although they don't do anything spectacular they know how to win.
The Huskies are a very balanced offense team but that defense is brutal. Regardless, they are 4-1 with the only loss coming against Nebraska. Sophomore Keith Price is playing very solid football.
Texas Tech Red Raiders
The Red Raiders don't yet have a quality win on their resume but they do have one of the top offenses in the country. Ranked 9th in passing yards and 42nd in rushing yards, it's only a matter of time before this team cracks the rankings.
