Cheryl Burke: Dancing with the Stars Dancer Says She Was Molested by a Mailman.
"Dancing with the Stars" contestant Cheryl Burke, who has been partnered up with such sports figures as Chad Ochocinco and Rick Fox on the show, has come out and said she was molested as a child by a retired mailman who was a family friend.
Burke, 26, tells her story in her new book Dancing Lessons, slated to come out on Valentine's Day, but she apparently couldn't wait any longer to spill the beans.
The abuse reportedly began at age 5 for Burke, whose molester would pick her up from school and do odd jobs around her house.
The man was sent to prison for almost 20 years after Burke testified against him.
"I felt guilty for wanting his love and affection," Burke said. "I saw his face and lawyers were asking me these questions and I was like, 'What am I doing? Did he even do anything wrong?' If I can help just one person, for me that's all that matters."
