BCS Rankings: Wisconsin and Teams Who Have No Shot at BCS Title

Wisconsin was one of several teams in Week 9 of the college football whose BCS title dreams were destroyed.

Every game is a must-win for teams looking to compete for a national championship, and teams like Wisconsin with two losses have no shot to make the BCS title game.

Let's look at teams whose BCS title dreams were crushed this week.

1) Kansas State

Kansas State had the chance to make a statement win against Big 12 opponent Oklahoma but were dominated by the Sooners 58-17.

The Wildcats defense could not stop Sooners Heisman Trophy caliber quarterback Landry Jones, who threw for an astounding 505 yards and five touchdowns.

The Wildcats now have to play No. 3 Oklahoma State next week, and if they lose that one not only would their BCS title hopes be absolutely over, their Big 12 title dreams would be destroyed.

2) Michigan State

After an exciting upset of Wisconsin last week and Michigan the week before that, the Michigan State Spartans were dominated by the Nebraska Corn Huskers on Saturday.

The Spartans lost 24-3 to Nebraska and couldn't find any offense. Michigan State still has a shot at the Big 10 title if some teams help them out and lose, but their BCS title dreams are certainly over.

3) Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers followed up their heartbreaking loss to Michigan State last week with a poor performance against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday.

The 33-29 loss to the unranked Buckeyes effectively ends the Badgers' BCS title hopes, and now they need some help to win the Big 10.

Two losses and a weak schedule have made the Badgers resume one of the worst among teams ranked in the top 25.
