The 2012 signing day is over eight months away and Nick Saban already has it half-full of great recruits. You'd think he would relax, but instead, Saban is already lining up recruits for the 2013 class.
Case in point, Earnest Robinson, an already muscled up 6'3", 196-pound "Julio" type receiver from Pinson Valley, Alabama, and he's only going into his junior year of high school.
People that have seen him say he has that same kind of "physicality" that Julio Jones has, and Saban's made it very clear that he's interested in him after going through a Nick Saban summer camp session on campus in Tuscaloosa just a few days ago.
Last season, he had 550 yards with 25 catches and 10 touchdowns. Add to that 11 kick returns for touchdowns, and this was just as a 10th grader in a tough high school district.
It's easy to see why he's acquiring so many offers so soon.
Robinson has included Auburn and Oregon among his early favorites, but he has let coach Saban know that he greatly admires what's going on at Alabama, and he can't wait to start coming down to attend games and getting to know some of the players.
He lists Alabama as the early leader for his skills.
Even though he's a junior he's already napped offers from Auburn, Oregon, Florida State and Mississippi State. You bet that's just the tip of the iceberg to come.
When you watch him play or see his highlights, indeed, the similarities to Julio Jones are quickly obvious.
He can leap like Julio, so much higher that the typical defender, that the QB simply has to throw a jump ball out in the flat.
Also, few people bring him down on their own and Robinson is already breaking tackles like a seasoned senior. He is the total package a coach looks for in a go to guy.
