2011 NFL Mock Draft: The Patriots Add to Backfield with Their Fourth Pick
LeShoure Joins the Lawfirm Of BenJarvus Green-Ellis
The New England Patriots do not need a lot of picks in this draft, so of course they are loaded this year.
The Patriots have two picks in each of the first three rounds, so two rounds in here we are at pick number four. In this mock draft I have had the Patriots take a pass rusher, a wide receiver, an offensive lineman and now they take a running back.
Mikel LeShoure is a good prospect and the Patriots have a need to add depth to their backfield. BenJarvus Green-Ellis is a good running back, but he is no Maurice Jones-Drew or Chris Johnson.
This is not to say LeShoure is (It is a little premature to be making those kinds of predictions), but it is saying the Patriots could use a little more depth in the backfield.
Tom "I cry a lot" Brady could benefit from having more options out of the backfield and it never hurts to have a great running game, just ask the Chiefs.
