2011 NFL Mock Draft: The Jaguars Take Big Defensive Weapon with First Pick
The Jaguars Improve Pass Rush To Get To The Playoffs in 2011
The Jaguars are rumbling they may be looking for a quarterback, but theyare not in the mix for a quarterback in the first round, so it helps clarify who they will be looking to take on draft day with the 16th pick.
Aldon Smith is one of the top names in the draft, and the Jaguars will look to capitalize on his talents in 2011. Smith is projecting as an elite pass rusher, which is good if you play against the Colts twice a year.
Head coach Jack Del Rio has been told he has to make the playoffs in 2011 or his job is in jeopardy. The Colts are vulnerable, and with Smith coming at Manning for four quarters, the Jaguars could get over the hump and into the playoffs.
The Jaguars have a lot of good options with this pick, and they could take Ryan Kerrigan, Cameron Heyward or Adrian Clayborn. No matter what the name on the card is, the Jaguars will have a better pass rush in 2011.
