2011 NBA Mock Draft: Full First Round Picks, Jazz Take Brandon Knight

2011 NBA Mock Draft Says Utah Jazz Can’t Pass on Brandon Knight

The Utah Jazz are in trouble without a star point guard. Deron Williams forced his way out of Utah, helped in the banishment of a Hall of Fame coach, and left the Jazz for dead in the process.

Now he is stuck in Jersey on a team that may never be good again, but the Jazz have a chance to improve right now with two picks in the top 12.

A bit of craziness ensued at the top of the draft with Derrick Williams going No. 1 over Kyrie Irving, but the Jazz decided to right the ship and take Knight with their first pick.

The Kentucky point guard possesses all the skills and talents necessary to be a good point guard in the NBA. He’s a creative scorer, has the height to and potential to take over at times and although he isn’t Deron Williams, he is the closest their going to get this year.

If they opt to pass on Knight they’ll be taking a risk that could leave them out in the cold at pick No. 12. If they enter free agency without a starting point guard on the roster they’ll be desperate and everyone will know it; passing on Knight isn’t worth it
